Nordic Talents 2011 - Register to Pitch And Get Inspired

Applications are now open for Nordic film graduates 2011 wishing to submit their new documentary or fiction projects for the Pitching Sessions at the 11th Nordic Talents in Copenhagen (September 7-9), organized by Nordisk Film & TV Fond in collaboration with the National Film School of Denmark. Pre-selected graduates have a chance to win NOK250,000 in development support.

Nordic Talents - 2011

Graduates will also be able to meet key decision makers, financiers from the Nordic region and the professional industry in general, and to listen to a creative discussion between two internationally renowned directors (including Mads Brügger) about the ‘Twilight zone between Documentary and Fiction'.

Following last year's inspiring Master-class with UK producer Andy Harries (Britis Wallander, Zen, The Queen), Nordisk Film & TV Fond will organize a similar high profile discussion, staged this year as a creative conversation between two top directors experienced in feature film and documentary filmmaking. The multi-awarded Danish director Mads Brügger (The Red Chapel) and an international guest (yet to be announced) will share the dilemmas, rewards and pitfalls of delving into hybrid forms of filmmaking. Brügger will use clips of his own documentaries, the multi-awarded The Red Chapel and his latest film The Ambassador set to open in Denmark in October. Karolina Lidin, documentary consultant for Nordisk Film & TV Fond will steer the session, open to all Nordic Talents participants.

Around 25 Nordic graduation documentary and fiction films will screen at Nordic Talents 2011 and around 12 pre-selected projects will be pitched in front of a jury and the audience.

Nordic Talents is a unique opportunity for Nordic film graduates to meet established film professionals and financiers from the Nordic region. Many former Nordic Talent award-winning projects have become successful films such as Sons by Norway's Erik Richter Strand, and Run Sister Run by Finland's Marja Pyykkö. Two Nordic Talents winners are currently in production with their first feature film: Denmark's Jan Rahbek (Carlo's Casino) and Sweden's Karzan Kader (Bekas).

FILM GRADUATES WISHING TO SUBMIT THEIR PROJECT CAN APPLY NOW, UNTIL JUNE 15.
